ISLAMABAD -- At least 12 people, including six security personnel, were killed Thursday (October 15) in separate militant attacks in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The terrorist group Baloch Raji Aajoi Saangar in a tweeted statement took responsibility for the ambush in Gwadar, Balochistan.

At least six people in a convoy of oil workers were killed by gunmen, officials said.

The dead included paramilitary troops and workers from the state Oil and Gas Development Co., a senior official told AFP.

"The death toll may rise," he said, requesting anonymity as he was not authorised to talk to media.

Meanwhile, a roadside bomb killed one officer and five soldiers in a security force convoy near Razmak, North Waziristan, Inter Services Public Relations said in a statement Thursday.

The Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) claimed responsibility.
