ISLAMABAD -- An accountability court in Islamabad Thursday (October 19) indicted Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, the ousted prime minister; his daughter Maryam Nawaz; and her husband, Capt. (ret.) Muhammad Safdar, as part of a corruption probe, reported Dawn.

The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has been investigating Nawaz Sharif and his relatives for alleged illegal ownership of several apartments in London. The Supreme Court removed him from office in July in connection with accusations arising from the Panama Papers.

Nawaz Sharif is in the UK. His family has pled not guilty.

The trial is expected to begin October 26.
