Lashkar-e-Jhangvi commander killed in Sukkur

SUKKUR -- Police in Sukkur, Sindh Province, gunned down a wanted Lashkar-e-Jhangvi (LeJ) militant, Kamran Jamshed Bhatti, said officials.

Bhatti, who was involved in several terrorist attacks in Sindh, died in a shoot-out with provincial Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) officers Sunday (April 9), the CTD told Dawn.

His crimes included the 2014 assassination in Karachi of senior police officer Chaudhry Aslam, said Abbasi.
