KARACHI -- Police killed two al-Qaeda members in a shoot-out in Karachi Monday (July 31), Dawn reported.
Police raided a militant hideout and killed the two, said Senior Superintendent of Police Rao Anwar.
They belonged to al-Qaeda's South Asia chapter and were involved in sectarian slayings and a traffic police officer's assassination last November, he added.
