QUETTA -- A group of 43 militants of the banned Baloch Republican Army (BRA) renounced insurgency and surrendered before security forces in Balochistan, while two suspected members of "Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant" (ISIL) terrorist group were arrested in Peshawar, media reported.
The surrendered militants handed over their weapons to security forces October 18, during a ceremony in Dera Bugti District in which they parted ways with Nawabzada Brahamdagh Bugti, the Frontier Corps (FC) said, according to Dawn.
Separately, the counter terrorism department (CTD) of police detained two suspected ISIL members in Peshawar October 18, Geo News reported.
The detained ISIL activists were distributing anti-Pakistan literature and other pamphlets in the city, a CTD official said.
