ISLAMABAD -- The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) declared 20,789 polling stations for the upcoming general elections as "sensitive", Dawn reported Thursday (July 5).
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has the largest number of such polling stations (7,386), followed by Sindh (5,776), Punjab (5,686) and Balochistan (1,768), according to data released by the ECP.
Out of the 360 polling stations in the capital, Islamabad, the ECP declared 173 sensitive.
The ECP has set up 85,307 polling stations for the general elections, which are scheduled for July 25.
