WASHINGTON -- The United Nations Security Council's consolidated list of terrorist individuals and entities includes 139 entries with ties to Pakistan, Dawn reported Wednesday (April 4).

The list, updated Tuesday (April 3), includes all individuals who have either lived in Pakistan, operated from Pakistani soil or been associated with groups that have carried out operations from Pakistan.

The 139 individuals and groups range from al-Qaeda leader Ayman al-Zawahiri to known members of the banned militant group Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT).

Al-Zawahiri tops the list. He is still hiding along the Pakistani-Afghan border with several of his lieutenants, according to the UN.
