KARACHI -- Two accused Lashkar-e-Jhangvi (LeJ) members have reportedly escaped to Afghanistan, Geo News reported Thursday (September 14).
Sheikh Muhammad, alias Firon, and Ahmed Khan, alias Manako, are accused of involvement in dozens of targeted killings in Karachi. Both escaped from a Karachi jail in June. They were on trial.
The suspects crossed into Afghanistan via the border crossing in Chaman, Balochistan, according to the Sindh Police Counter Terrorism Department.
