ISLAMABAD -- At least three people, including two police officers, were gunned down and a Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) suspect was captured in recent incidents across Pakistan.
Security forces recently defused bombs in Khuzdar District, Balochistan, and in Peshawar, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), Dunya News reported.
A civilian and two police officers were killed in Lower Dir, KP, in an armed attack August 29, the Express Tribune reported.
The gunmen apparently targeted District Councillor Shah Nawaz, but he escaped harm, while his brother was killed.
Police in Karachi August 29 detained eight suspects in raids, including a suspected member of the TTP's Swat chapter, Geo News reported. He is accused of various killings and of planning terrorist attacks in Karachi.
