QUETTA -- An explosion in Panjgur, Balochistan Province, Monday (February 5) has killed at least one person and wounded seven others, officials said.

The blast was caused by "an improvised explosive device planted in the motorcycle parked in a busy area of Panjgur city and was detonated by remote control," Ghulam Ali, the provincial home secretary, told AFP.

Separately, on Sunday (February 4), a six-year-old girl and her mother were killed on the outskirts of Panjgur as the child played with a hand grenade found near her house.
