QUETTA -- Security forces Wednesday (September 4) killed at least six "Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS)" militants in an intelligence-based operation in the Eastern Bypass area of Quetta, Dawn reported.
The militants included a woman, Balochistan Inspector General of Police Mohsin Hassan Butt said.
One officer of the Balochistan Constabulary was killed and eight from the provincial Anti-Terrorist Force were injured during the operation, he said.
The fighting lasted almost six hours.
The militants were involved in a series of targeted killings and bombings in Balochistan, another official told Dawn.
