ISLAMABAD -- US Special Representative for Afghanistan Reconciliation Zalmay Khalilzad arrived in Islamabad on Friday (April 5) for talks after concluding his five-day trip in Afghanistan, Dawn reported.
Khalilzad conferred with Pakistani Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi and will be meeting with other high-level political and military leaders, according to the report.
Khalilzad was scheduled to visit Qatar, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Uzbekistan, Jordan, Britain and Belgium before returning to Washington April 10, according to Dawn.
Qureshi reiterated Pakistan's commitment to the peace process, the report said.
