KARACHI -- Punjab Police Sunday (March 24) arrested at least seven suspects for their involvement in the alleged forced religious conversion and underage marriage of two sisters from Ghotki District, Sindh Province, Dawn reported.

Police officers on Sunday (March 24) said they had conducted several raids in Rahim Yar Khan District, Punjab Province, where the girls were taken. The suspects were handed over to the Sindh Police.

The move came after two separate videos went viral.

In one of the videos, the girls' father and brother claim that the girls kidnapped and forced to convert from Hinduism to Islam.

In another, the girls, seen next to a cleric and their husbands, said that they voluntarily converted to Islam.

The girls' family on March 20 lodged a First Information Report with police over their alleged involuntary conversion.
