ISLAMABAD -- The National Security Committee Thursday (February 21) ordered the reinstatement of a ban on operations by Jamaat-ud-Dawa (led by Hafiz Saeed) and its charity arm, the Falah-i-Insaniyat Foundation (FIF), reported Dawn.

Saeed is accused of plotting the 2008 terror attacks in Mumbai, India.

Prime Minister Imran Khan chaired the meeting.

Last February, then-President Mamnoon Hussain signed an ordinance that turned JuD and FIF into proscribed groups. The ordinance, though, had expired.
