Ambush in Dera Ismail Khan leaves 4 police officers dead

DERA ISMAIL KHAN -- Terrorists ambushed police officers in Dera Ismail Khan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Tuesday (February 12), killing four and wounding another, Dawn reported.

The suspects opened fire on a police van patrolling in the Maharah area, District Police Officer Dr. Mohammad Iqbal told Dawn News.

The police officers returned fire, but the terrorists escaped, he said.

Authorities are searching for the killers.
