FATF delegation to visit Pakistan in October

ISLAMABAD -- A delegation from the Financial Action Task Force (FATF), a global terrorism financing watchdog, will visit Pakistan in October to hold talks with authorities to discuss whether to recommend removing the country from its "grey list", Geo News reported Wednesday (September 26).

In June, the FATF placed Pakistan on this list because of "strategic deficiencies" in its ability to counter money laundering and terror financing.

The body gave Pakistan 15 months -- until September 2019 -- to comply with its requirements, Finance Minister Asad Umar told the Senate last month.
