Imran Khan, Bajwa vow to work together for lasting peace

ISLAMABAD -- Prime Minister Imran Khan and Chief of Army Staff Gen. Qamar Javed Bajwa vowed to continue efforts toward long-lasting peace and stability in the region, Dawn reported.

The two met for the first time Monday (August 27) since Khan was sworn in as prime minister on August 18 to discuss Pakistan's security situation.

Bajwa congratulated Khan on becoming prime minister.
