WASHINGTON, DC -- US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo Wednesday (June 6) spoke with Pakistani Chief of Army Staff Gen. Qamar Javed Bajwa by phone, according to a US Department of State statement.
They discussed "ways to advance US-Pakistani bilateral relations, the need for political reconciliation in Afghanistan and the importance of targeting all militant and terrorist groups in South Asia without distinction", according to the release.
