Suicide attack targeting security personnel in Nowshera wounds 12

NOWSHERA -- A suicide blast targeting a Frontier Corps (FC) vehicle in Nowshera Thursday (May 17) wounded at least 12 people, including six security personnel, Dawn reported.

A suicide attacker on a motorbike blew himself up near the vehicle as it was proceeding from Rawalpindi to Peshawar, District Police Officer Shahzad Nadeem Bukhari said.

He confirmed the number of injured.

The bomb used contained 5kg of explosives, said another official.

No group immediately claimed responsibility.
