Pakistan, Poland agree to bolster defence co-operation

WARSAW, Poland -- Pakistan and Poland reached a defence co-operation agreement in Warsaw Thursday (April 19), Geo News reported.

Pakistani Defence Minister Khurram Dastgir Khan and his Polish counterpart, Mariusz Błaszczak, signed the deal, which was hailed as instrumental in consolidating and institutionalising defence relations.

Khan and Błaszczak conferred one on one before talks between the full delegations. They reviewed their countries' existing defence co-operation and considered ways to further promote relations.

Khan briefed the Polish delegation on progress in Pakistan, including democratic consolidation, economic growth and achievements in counter-terrorism.
