QUETTA -- Militant gunmen Wednesday (February 14) killed four Frontier Corps (FC) personnel in an attack in Balochistan Province, according to officials.

The militants ambushed the FC members as they patrolled a railway in Quetta, the provincial capital.

The victims had no chance to retaliate, said Abdul Razzaq Cheema, a senior police official. Authorities recovered 108 bullet casings from the site, he added.

"We suspect the attackers were at least four people who came on two motorbikes," he said.

The Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) claimed responsibility.

The terrorist group earlier this month claimed a suicide bombing on an army camp in the Swat Valley that killed 11 soldiers.
