Pakistani army chief signs death sentences for 10 terrorists

RAWALPINDI -- Chief of Army Staff Gen. Qamar Javed Bajwa has confirmed the death sentences of 10 terrorists convicted by military courts, according to a statement from Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) Friday (January 19).

The convicts were involved in conducting terrorist activities, attacking educational institutions and killing innocent civilians, soldiers and law enforcement personnel, according to the statement.

In total, the 10 militants killed 41 people, said the statement.

Three other militants were sentenced to prison terms of various lengths.
