Pakistan beats Sri Lanka in cricket

ABU DHABI -- Pakistan notched a 32-run victory against Sri Lanka in cricket in Abu Dhabi Tuesday (October 17), Geo News reported.

Spinner Shadab Khan rescued the Pakistani batting side by scoring 52 off 68 deliveries.

Pakistan leads the five-match series 2-0. The three remaining matches are scheduled for Wednesday (October 18) in Abu Dhabi and Friday (October 20) and October 23 in Sharjah.

Sri Lanka's team plans to visit Lahore for a Twenty20 cricket match October 29, Geo News reported separately.

Pakistan was a sporting pariah for years after terrorists attacked the Sri Lankan cricket team in Lahore in 2009, killing seven Pakistanis and wounding seven Sri Lankans.
