Foreign secretary leads Pakistani delegation for Quadrilateral Co-operation Group talks

ISLAMABAD -- Foreign Secretary Tehmina Jangua is leading Pakistan's delegation in Monday (October 16)'s four-nation talks on Afghanistan, Geo News reported.

The Quadrilateral Co-operation Group (QCG) -- Afghanistan, Pakistan, China and the US -- is holdings talks in Muscat, Oman, aimed in part at reviving discussions with the Taliban for a negotiated peace settlement in Afghanistan.

This is the first meeting of the QCG since Afghan Taliban chief Mullah Akhtar Muhammad Mansoor was killed in Balochistan in May 2016. The group first met in January 2016 in Islamabad.
