University re-opens after 40-day closure following Mashal lynching

MARDAN -- Five campuses of Abdul Wali Khan University in Mardan re-opened Monday (May 22) after almost 40 days of closure following the lynching of student Mashal Khan on one of the campuses, Dunya News reported.

A mob that accused Mashal of blasphemy beat and shot him to death April 13.

Two more campuses will re-open Thursday (May 25), according to the university.
