Violence kills 10 pro-government personnel, 4 militants nationwide

ISLAMABAD -- Four peace committee volunteers, six police officers and four militants were killed throughout Pakistan.

A roadside bomb in the Tirah Valley, Khyber Agency, killed four peace volunteers Monday (May 22), Dunya TV reported.

Four police officers including a station house officer were killed Saturday (May 20) when gunmen opened fire on a police van in Kohat District, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Deputy Superintendent of Police Lachi Raza Khan told Dawn.

Gunmen killed two police officers earlier that day in Karachi, according to SAMAA.

Meanwhile, security forces killed four militants in Awaran District, Balochistan Province, Saturday, according to Dawn.
