GUJRAT, Pakistan -- Police killed at least five suspected terrorists in a shoot-out in Gujrat District, Punjab Province, Thursday (March 30), Geo News reported.
Punjab Police Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) members raided a militant hideout, said a CTD spokesman.
Police killed five militants in the shootout, while three other suspects fled, said the spokesman.
The militants were members of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and al-Qaeda who were plotting to attack public facilities in Gujrat and Kharian, Geo News and Dunya TV reported.
