Staff Report

ISLAMABAD -- Pakistan's Interior Ministry accused Jamaat-ud-Dawa (JuD) chief Hafiz Saeed and 37 other party leaders of acting as a front for the defunct militant group Lashkar-e-Taiba and banned them from travelling abroad, Geo News reported Wednesday (February 1).

Authorities placed Saeed and four other JuD leaders under house arrest Monday (January 30).

The ministry forwarded the 38 JuD leaders' names to all provincial governments and to the Federal Investigation Agency to notify them of the travel ban.
