ISLAMABAD -- At least five peace committee members and two terrorists were killed in recent violence in Pakistan, media reported.
Five members of the Zakakhel Peace Committee in Khyber Agency were fatally shot in Bazaar-Zakhakel November 16, officials said, according to Dawn.
In Karachi, police early November 16 killed two terrorists and made 13 arrests, Geo News and Dunya TV reported November 17.
Meanwhile, the Punjab Police recently apprehended eight suspected members of the "Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant" (ISIL) in Lahore, the provincial Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) said November 17, according to Dawn.
In Balochistan, the Frontier Corps (FC) and other law enforcement agencies November 16 in Tump defused a roadside bomb, Dawn reported.
Separately, the FC recently detained two suspected terrorists in the Hub area of Balochistan, Dunya TV reported November 16.
