ISLAMABAD -- Police recently arrested eight suspects in two Punjab districts, media reported.
The provincial Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) recently detained three suspected members of a banned outfit in More Aimanabad near Gujranwala, Dunya TV reported November 15.
The suspects were plotting to target some shrines in Gujranwala, a CTD spokesman said.
Meanwhile, police November 14 in Sialkot arrested five men accused of torturing a trans-gender person, District Police Officer (DPO) Dr. Abid said, according to Geo News.
The five are accused of torturing their victim for refusing to pay protection money, Geo News added.
