ISLAMABAD -- Pakistani forces killed an al-Qaeda member in Punjab Province November 1 and held 14 suspects in Karachi October 31.
Police killed the al-Qaeda member in a shoot-out in Khushab District, Punjab, Geo News reported. Police have not released his name.
In Karachi, police detained 14 suspects during separate raids, Dunya TV reported November 1.
Meanwhile, police October 31 found the bullet-riddled body of a kidnapped union (township) council chairman, Muhammad Waleed, in the Turbat area, Balochistan Province, Dawn reported.
Waleed was kidnapped about one week ago on his way to Turbat, police said.
