Balochistan blast kills 2 , police arrest 6 suspects in Punjab

ISLAMABAD -- A land mine explosion in Balochistan's Sibi District killed at least two people and wounded nine others, while security forces arrested six suspects during separate operations in Punjab, media reported.

The explosion took place in Babar Kach area of Sibi District when a vehicle carrying local tribesmen hit a land mine planted on the road October 20, an official told Dawn.

Meanwhile, police detained two suspects with huge cache of weapons in Punjab's district of Chinot October 21, Dunya TV reported. The weapons were being shifted in car from Sargodha to Lahore.

Four more suspected militants were held in a search operation in Gulzaib Colony, Multan district October 20, police said, according to Dunya TV.
