MOHMAND AGENCY -- At least 23 people were killed and 29 others injured when a suicide bomber targeted a mosque during Friday prayer in Anbar Tehsil of Mohmand Agency September 16, officials said, Dawn reported.
The bomber blew himself up in the veranda of the mosque, the source said.
The injured have been transported to hospitals in Bajaur Agency, Charsadda and Peshawar for treatment, Assistant Political Agent Naveed Akbar told Dawn.
No one has claimed responsibility but most of the similar attacks in the past are claimed by Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan.
