PESHAWAR -- Pakistan's Christian minority brought out ornaments and Santa Claus costumes to celebrate Christmas.

This year the celebrations took place amid much-improved security made possible by troops' long-running crackdown on extremists and terrorists.

Security forces kept a watchful eye in Peshawar on churches and other sites of worship or festivities.
