ISLAMABAD -- Top Pakistani and Afghan officials Monday (June 10) agreed to boost bilateral co-operation in various sectors, Dawn reported.

Pakistani Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi on Monday met with Afghan Deputy Foreign Minister Idrees Zaman in Islamabad for the first review session of the Afghanistan-Pakistan Action Plan for Peace and Solidarity (APAPPS), a bilateral co-operation framework set up last year.

Under APAPPS, the two countries agreed to discuss political, diplomatic and economic issues and military and intelligence co-operation.

The evaluation of APAPPS comes ahead of Afghan President Ashraf Ghani’s upcoming visit to Pakistan on June 27.
