LAHORE -- An anti-terrorism court on Tuesday (January 22) sent Tehreek-e-Labaik Pakistan (TLP) Chief Khadim Hussain Rizvi, his affiliate Pir Afzal Qadri and four others to prison on a 14-day judicial remand, the Express Tribune reported Tuesday (January 22).

The court decision came during the hearing of a case related to protests across Pakistan staged by TLP in October 2018 and hate speech against the state institutions following the acquittal of Aasia Bibi of blasphemy charges by the Supreme Court.

Authorities took strict security measures in and outside the court during the hearing.
