ISLAMABAD -- Iranian Foreign Minister Javad Zarif arrived in Islamabad on Thursday (August 30) for two days of talks with leaders including Prime Minister Imran Khan, reported Dawn.

Pakistan and Iran have had disputes on matters like Iranian recruitment of Shia Pakistanis into Iranian militias and the almost summer-long cutoff of Iranian electricity exports to Balochistan.

US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and US Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman Gen. Joseph Dunford are coming to Pakistan for talks days after Zarif's visit.
