Pakistan Forward

ISLAMABAD -- Tourism in Pakistan has grown rapidly over the past few years as security improves throughout the country, Dawn reported.

Some 1.75 million tourists visited Pakistan in 2017 alone, the Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation (PTDC) said Wednesday (April 25).

Revenue from tourism contributed about $19.4 billion (Rs. 2.2 trillion) to Pakistan's economy in 2017, making up 6.9% of GDP, according to the London-based World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC).
