Pakistani delegation arrives in Kabul for co-operation talks

KABUL -- A high-level Pakistani delegation headed by Foreign Secretary Tehmina Janjua arrived in Kabul to discuss a co-operation plan, Geo News reported.

The delegation, which included senior civil and military officials, will discuss the Afghanistan-Pakistan Action Plan for Peace and Solidarity.

The plan covers counter-terrorism co-operation, peace and reconciliation, the repatriation of Afghan refugees and economic development.

Dr. Mohammad Faisal, a spokesman for Pakistan's Foreign Ministry, confirmed the delegation's arrival in a tweet Monday (April 2).

Pakistan will continue to back Afghan peace efforts, he added.

The Pakistani Foreign Ministry Sunday (April 1) confirmed that Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi is scheduled to visit Kabul Friday (April 6).
