PESHAWAR -- Authorities in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) caught six suspects accused of involvement in the deadly December 1 attack on the Peshawar Agriculture Training Institute, Dawn reported Monday (December 11).

The gunmen who stormed the school killed nine. Police responded swiftly and killed all three terrorists, preventing even worse carnage.

The six arrests took place in parts of KP bordering Charsadda District and Mohmand Agency, said official sources. The men are said to have links to Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP)'s Swat faction.

The suspected mastermind remains at large, although security forces pursuing him have conducted multiple raids in Bajaur Agency.

The TTP took responsibility for the attack.
