57 indicted in connection with Mashal Khan slaying

PESHAWAR -- An anti-terrorism court in Haripur, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Tuesday (September 19) indicted 57 suspects in connection with the lynching of Mashal Khan, reported Dawn.

All 57 pleaded not guilty. The next hearing is scheduled for Wednesday (September 20).

Khan, a student at Abdul Wali Khan University in Mardan, was beaten and shot to death by a mob in April. The mob was reacting to rumours that Khan had committed blasphemy.
