LAHORE -- Security forces arrested two suspected members of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and the TTP offshoot Jamatul Ahrar (JA) in Lahore Tuesday (July 25) and seized a cache of weapons and suicide vests in Bajaur Agency, reported Dawn.
The Punjab Police Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) nabbed the two suspects on Walton Road, said the CTD in a statement, adding that they were planning to attack security forces next week.
Security forces seized arms, ammunition and explosives in Mamund Tehsil, Bajaur Agency, said Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Dawn added.
The cache included sub-machine guns, ball bearings for bombs, and other terrorist supplies, added ISPR.
