KARACHI -- In Karachi violence, police killed at least four members of the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), including a commander, while unknown gunmen killed a traffic warden, media reported.
Militant commander Akbar Swati, alias Mullah, and three other terrorists were killed in a shoot-out with police in the Sacchal area Monday (July 24), reported The Express Tribune, quoting senior police official Rao Anwar. The Express Tribune also identified Swati as an al-Qaeda member.
Earlier on Monday, armed motorcyclists opened fire on two traffic constables in the city, killing one and wounding the other, reported Dawn.
