Security officer, coal miner killed in Balochistan
ISLAMABAD -- A coal miner and a security officer were killed in separate acts of violence in Balochistan, media reported.
Gunmen shot the miner in Bolan District Tuesday (July 4), according to the Levies Force. Authorities have not determined a motive.
Motorcyclists gunned down a senior Levies Force official in Mastung District the same day, according to Dawn.
In Peshawar, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, police Monday (July 3) defused a bomb before it could explode, the Express Tribune reported.
The remote-controlled device had 4kg of explosives and was intended for police, the police said. It was situated near a police station.
