ISLAMABAD -- Authorities at Islamabad International Airport seized 20kg of heroin from a London-bound Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) plane and arrested five suspects Monday (May 22), media reported.
The drugs were concealed in the plane's catering area, reported SAMAA and Geo News.
The Airport Security Force and Anti Narcotics Force are holding five suspects.
Authorities last week at Heathrow International Airport near London seized an unspecified quantity of heroin from a PIA plane. In April, authorities at Karachi International Airport confiscated about 15kg of heroin from a PIA plane.
