ISLAMABAD -- Security forces killed at least two militants committing a cross-border attack in Mohmand Agency and arrested nine suspects in Punjab Province, Dawn reported.
The militants came from Afghanistan and attacked a border outpost in Mohmand Agency Tuesday (April 11), said local residents. Troops killed them with return fire. One soldier was wounded. The surviving militants fled.
The Punjab Police Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) arrested seven suspected Jamatul Ahrar operatives in Multan District Monday (April 10), according to the CTD. Jamatul Ahrar is a Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) splinter group.
Police arrested two more suspected militants in Gujranwala District, Dawn reported Monday.
