57 terrorism suspects nabbed in Punjab

LAHORE -- The para-military Rangers detained 57 suspected militants in various parts of Punjab Province, Geo News reported Thursday (March 30).

The raids were part of the counter-insurgency Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad, said Inter-Services Public Relations, which added that 21 of the suspects were Afghan nationals.

In Noshki, Balochistan, the Frontier Corps seized caches of ammunition and drugs, Geo News reported.

On Friday (March 31) in Karachi, the Rangers seized a weapon cache hidden in a graveyard, after receiving a tip from a suspect in custody, according to the Sindh Rangers.

The weapons included sub-machine guns, rifles and pistols, said the Rangers.
