Border attack kills 10 militants, 5 Pakistani soldiers

PESHAWAR -- At least 10 militants and five Pakistani soldiers were killed Sunday (March 5) in fighting in Mohmand Agency, The Express Tribune reported.

Militants stormed three border posts, Inter-Services Public Relations said, adding that troops killed at least 10 of the assailants while losing five of their own.

Army chief Gen. Qamar Jawed Bajwa expressed grief at the loss but praised the troops for their response.

Jamatul Ahrar, a Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) splinter group, took responsibility.
