Staff Report

PESHAWAR -- Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Police are pursuing the killers of two women who apparently were killed for "honour", media reported Thursday (February 9).

Hina Shanhawaz was killed February 3, allegedly by a cousin who objected to her working outside the home, said Kohat Police Officer (DPO) Javed Iqbal, according to Dawn.

Shahnawaz was supporting her mother and sister-in-law after her father and brother died, said Iqbal. Police are looking for the cousin.

Gunmen Wednesday (February 8) fatally shot a young woman in Nowshera District, Dawn reported. The killing appeared to be an honour-related incident, said police.
