LAHORE -- A Lahore-based Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) Monday (January 16) sentenced a mother to death for burning her daughter alive, Dawn reported. The daughter had married a man without family consent.
Parveen Bibi killed Zeenat Rafiq, 18, in June in Lahore, the court found. Zeenat had eloped with Hasan Khan. Her family duped her into coming home.
The court sentenced Zeenat's brother to life in prison.
